Personal Statement:
Amy practices general civil litigation with a focus on professional liability defense. She has represented a variety of health care professionals and health care facilities, as well as real estate agents, real estate agencies, and title agencies. Amy has practiced in state and federal court and in arbitrations. She has tried several matters to judgment, obtaining defense verdicts for her clients.
Amy graduated cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Political Science. She earned her J.D. from Albany Law School in 2006 where she was selected as a teacher’s assistant for the Lawyering Program for upcoming first year students. Ms. Mogetz has had internships in Long Island, New York City, and Schenectady, New York, but returned to her home state of Virginia upon graduation.
Before joining Carr Maloney in 2010, Amy practiced with a litigation firm in Alexandria, Virginia where she represented counseling centers, nursing homes, real estate agencies, dentists, and real estate agents.
Amy is a member of the bar in Virginia and Washington, D.C. In addition to her legal practice, Amy volunteers with several charitable organizations in the community.
