Personal Statement:
Suzanne E. Derr joined Carr Maloney as an associate in 2010. Her practice focuses on general liability, professional liability, and other civil litigation. She has experience in all stages of the litigation process, including discovery, pre-trial disputes, and dispositive motions. Prior to joining the firm, Suzanne served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nelson W. Rupp, Jr. of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland from 2008-2010.
During law school, Suzanne was a student attorney in the Family Law Clinic, where she represented clients in domestic relations, domestic violence, and immigration matters. In addition, she served as a law clerk in the Montgomery County, Maryland Office of the Public Defender. Suzanne received her undergraduate degree in Russian language and literature from Dickinson College. She is conversational in Russian.
