Personal Statement:
Laelia received her law degree from American University, Washington College
of Law (J.D. 2005) and her undergraduate degree from the University of
Florida (B.S. 2001). During law school, Laelia was an officer of the Business
Law Society and served as a student attorney in the Civil Practice Clinic.
As a student attorney, she represented clients in a variety of practice
areas, such as Employment, Bankruptcy, Family and Education Law. Laelia
joined Carr Maloney after having the unique opportunity to serve as a law
clerk to the eleven judges in the District Court of Maryland for Montgomery
County.
