Personal Statement:
Sarah Bagley joined Carr Maloney as an associate in 2010. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, legal malpractice, and toxic torts. Since joining Carr Maloney, Sarah has successfully argued dispositive motions on behalf of clients in the Virginia Circuit Courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She has also drafted successful motions to dismiss in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the Circuit Court for Carroll County, Maryland. Sarah has been an active member of the Thurgood Marshall Inn of Court at Catholic University, Columbus School of Law, since 2005.

Before joining Carr Maloney, Sarah practiced in the federal courts of Virginia and South Carolina, including bankruptcy courts, in complex civil cases including topics such as the False Claims Act cases and a large Ponzi scheme. Sarah has also represented clients before the administrative courts of the District of Columbia and drafted appellate briefs for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits.

Sarah graduated from The College of William and Mary with a B.A. in Government. She earned her J.D. cum laude from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University. Sarah was a member of the Moot Court Association, acting as the Chancellor for the 2005-2006 academic year, and was a member of the team representing Catholic University at the National Telecommunications Appellate Competition in 2005, where she was recognized as the Best Oralist. Before entering practice, Sarah was a clerk for the judges of the District Court of Montgomery County, Maryland.
