Personal Statement:
Sarah received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and holds a General Course degree in International History from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She attended the University of Connecticut School of Law where, as a student, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Carl Schuman of the Connecticut Superior Court. Upon receiving her J.D., she returned to Virginia and was admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Carr Maloney Sarah practiced civil litigation with a firm in Alexandria, Virginia, where she focused primarily on professional liability defense. She has defended a variety of medical malpractice, negligence, wrongful death, and fraud claims against health care providers and other professionals. In March of 2008 she was a panel speaker at the seminar, "Medical Records Law in Virginia," during which she spoke on a variety of topics related to health records laws at the state and federal levels.
Sarah attended junior high and high school in Tokyo, Japan, where she studied the country's culture and language. She has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and Australia.
