Tina Maiolo and Tom McCally will present “Navigating the Tangled Web of Complex ADA and FMLA Issues” to attorneys and claim adjusters at Ace Group in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 3, 2015, and at ARCH in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 4, 2015. The presentation will provide an overview of the protections provided by the ADA/ADAAA and the FMLA and will then delve more deeply into the intertwined problems employment issues create under both laws. The presentation will provide guidance as to how to approach complicated employment law issues under both laws and also will address other hot-button issues such as: (1) medical marijuana (and recreational use) and your zero tolerance drug policy; (2) pregnancy-related impairments; (3) mental health issues in the workplace; and (4) providing compliant notification of rights and obligations to employees.
