On Wednesday, August 13, 2014, Tom McCally presented Hot Topics in Employment Law to the Human Resources section of the Association of Legal Administrators. The presentation addressed topics including the EEOC’s crackdown on background checks, the increasingly active NLRB, social media, the expansion of Title VII, the dangers of a mandatory retirement age, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, co-employment status and recent Supreme Court rulings.
