Connie Ng focuses her practice on employment law, labor law and complex civil litigation. She has experience defending employers in all types of employment litigation matters, including those brought under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA and all other federal, state, and local laws. She also provides strategic counseling to management on a number of employment issues, including employee hiring and termination, avoidance and resolution of employment disputes and litigation, compliance with Title VII, FMLA, FLSA and ADA, and employee handbooks and agreements.
Connie’s representative experience includes:
- Successfully argued a Motion to Dismiss in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County based on the parallel litigation doctrine.
- Persuaded D.C. Superior Court to dismiss sexual harassment and hostile work environment claims against an employer.
- Successfully represented a client during settlement negotiations in a wrongful termination matter, in which the plaintiff’s six figure demand was reduced to less than $5,000.
Connie received her J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Maryland, School of Law. During law school, she was an editor for Maryland’s Health Law Journal. She received her B.A. in English Language and Literature with a minor in Secondary Education from University of Maryland, College Park.
Connie serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association-DC, the oldest and largest association of Asian Pacific American attorneys in the Washington, D.C. area. She is also active with the Fairfax Bar Association’s Pro Bono program and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Clinic.
She is fluent in Cantonese.
