Patrick Belford concentrates his practice on Civil Rights, Employment and Labor Law, Nonprofit and Charitable Organizations and Religious Institutions.
While earning his juris doctor from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, Patrick served as both a Legal Intern for United States Magistrate Judge John M. Facciola of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and a Legal Clerk for the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), where he assisted in editing the organization’s stakeholder comments to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) final Clean Power Plan. Patrick also participated in the school’s Sutherland Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Journal of Communications Law and Policy. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Government with a minor in Theology from Georgetown University.
Patrick is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Brookland Community Resources, a grass-roots organization that works to promote the full inclusion of people with intellectual and physical disabilities into all aspects of community life. He previously helped secure representation for indigent clients as a Pro Bono Attorney for Catholic Charities Legal Network of the Archdiocese of Washington.
Prior to joining Carr Maloney, Patrick assisted clients, attorneys, and paralegals with the evaluation and analysis of litigation technology services as an Attorney and Account Executive for the Digital Evidence Group.
