Joseph Greener is a litigation attorney who focuses his practice on employment and labor law, civil rights and Directors and Officers’ liability.
Prior to joining Carr Maloney, Joe was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Lawrence Leonard, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. As Judge Leonard’s law clerk, Joe authored reports and made recommendations on dispositive motions involving contract disputes, insurance coverage and tort claims.
Joe graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he was elected President of the Student Bar Association and received the Dean’s Award for extraordinary contributions of a graduating student leader. In addition to his duties as Marketing Editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property, he published “If You Give a Mouse a Trademark: Disney’s Monopoly on Trademarks in the Entertainment Industry.”
Joe was Runner-Up in the 2015 Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition and a Semi-Finalist in the 2014 Edwin M. Stanley Moot Court Competition. While attending law school, he worked in both the Department of Justice’s Civil Division’s Office of Vaccine Litigation and the United States Court of Federal Claims Office of Special Masters. Joe graduated magna cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Leadership Studies and Political Science from the University of Richmond.

Joe achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
