Unique Designation Makes D.C.-Based Attorney One of a Kind
April 27, 2009 – Washington – The Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C. has certified Carr Maloney attorney Tina Maiolo as its official referral contact concerning requests for legal aid that the embassy receives from its constituency. The certification was formalized by Giovanni Castellaneta, the Italian ambassador to the United States. Maiolo is the only attorney in the United States to receive certification of this kind.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C, the Consulate General of Italy has offices in cities across the U.S., including New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Denver and Los Angeles. In addition to serving as a political, cultural and economic bridge between Italy and the U.S., the organization assists individuals with a wide range of matters, from deportation issues to citizenship requests to background on starting a business. The Italian Embassy receives regular requests from individuals for legal assistance, and chose to certify Maiolo based on her experience, legal acumen and strong dedication to the Italian-American community.

Maiolo heads the Business Law Practice for Carr Maloney and is also a member of the Religious Institution, Civil Rights, Employment and Labor Law, and Nonprofit and Charitable Organization Practice Groups at the firm. Among her numerous ties to the Italian-American community, Maiolo is a member of the Sons of Italy and the National Italian American Foundation.
