Of Counsel

Carr Maloney PC, one of the area’s premier law firms, seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic litigation Senior Counsel/Of Counsel to join its practice.

Interested candidates should have 8+ years of experience in civil litigation.

Candidates must possess strong research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality work both independently and collaboratively on complex matters. This role requires leadership experience, strong written and oral advocacy skills, courtroom experience, and experience handling cases from inception through trial.  Candidates should be strategic thinkers who show exceptional attention to detail in complex and document-intensive cases.

Strong organizational and case management skills are essential, including the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Candidates must be licensed in DC, MD and/or VA (preferable).

Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

Carr Maloney P.C. is looking for a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to join our dynamic and collaborative team. We are a mid-sized business and litigation law firm based in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. With decades of experience, our team delivers comprehensive legal advice on the most challenging legal issues to national and regional clients.

The Coordinator will work closely with firm leadership and attorneys to support the Firm’s marketing, communications, client development and strategic growth initiatives. For the right candidate, this position offers significant professional growth potential and the opportunity to advance into a Director of Marketing & Business Development Role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day marketing and business development initiatives in collaboration with attorneys, practice leaders, and firm leadership.
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, including attorney biographies, practice descriptions, proposals, pitches, RFP responses, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Manage the firm’s website, social media presence, client alerts, email campaigns, newsletters, and other external communications.
  • Coordinate client events, seminars, CLE programs, sponsorships, conferences, and other business development activities.
  • Support attorneys in developing and executing individual and practice group business development plans.
  • Conduct research on prospective clients, industries, competitors, referral sources, and market opportunities.
  • Coordinate submissions for firm rankings, awards, directories, advertisements, and industry publications.
  • Maintain marketing databases, targeted mailing lists, and relationships with external vendors and consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of marketing, communications, or business development experience; law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; social media platforms, email marketing platforms, website content management systems, Canva or similar design tools, a plus.
  • Creative, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working directly with attorneys and firm leadership.

Civil Litigation Associate

Carr Maloney PC, one of the area’s premier law firms, seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic litigation associate to join its practice.

Interested candidates should have at least one year of judicial clerkship experience and at least 3 years of private law firm experience that includes depositions, discovery and motions practice.

The position affords the opportunity to handle all aspects of case preparation from the inception of the matter through completion, including depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
Candidates must have strong academic credentials, research, and writing skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to handle a busy caseload.

Candidates must be licensed in DC.
