Employment and Labor Law Associate Attorney
Key Responsibilities: Draft pleadings, prepare discovery responses and requests, prepare for and defend clients and expert witnesses at deposition, take witness depositions, draft and argue dispositive and other motions, trial preparation.
Admission to DC and either MD or VA required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task a diverse caseload and meet deadlines, self-starter who takes ownership of executing tasks.
Civil Litigation Attorney
Interested candidates should have 2 – 3 years of private law firm experience in deposition, discovery and motions practice. Opportunity to handle all aspects of trial preparation from the inception of the matter through completion. Some trial or arbitration experience as well as negotiating/settlement experience preferred. Candidate must have excellent written and oral skills, be detail oriented and be able to handle a heavy caseload.
Candidates licensed in VA and DC preferred. West Virginia license a plus.
