Nate Fata represents and defends clients across a broad range of practice areas, including general liability, legal ethics and malpractice, and professional liability.
Prior to joining the firm as an Associate, Nate gained experience as a Law Clerk at Carr Maloney, where he assisted with discovery and legal research, drafted briefs, and attended client meetings and mediations.
Nate graduated from the American University Washington College of Law, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and recipient of the 2025 Aaronson Award for Civil Trial Advocacy. He served on the Administrative Law Review’s Editorial Board as a Note and Comment Editor and as the Vice President of the Energy Law & Policy Society. He also interned at the Transportation Security Administration’s Office of Chief Counsel in the Information Law Group, where he researched and drafted legal and policy arguments on body-worn cameras and assisted with litigation defending claims against the government.
Before pursuing his legal career, Nate worked for a Beltway public relations firm, where he coordinated client events, drafted and managed social media calendars, and aided client efforts to reach Capitol Hill, stakeholders, and consumers.
Nate earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of Virginia.
