Washington, D.C. (April 26, 2023): HNBA President Mariana Bravo announced the formation of a new National Task Force during her visit to Seattle University this week. With the launch of the National Task Force, the HNBA is on a mission to increase Hispanic law professors and law deans, which will subsequently increase the enrollment of Latinx law students at their universities.

The task force will oversee the development of various online and in-person workshops for prospective and existing Hispanic/Latinx law faculty and law school deanship aspirants, including support with mentorship, professional development, and networking.

Dean and Professor of Law of Seattle University School of Law, Anthony Varona will lead the national effort to increase Hispanic representation among law schools through the new task force launched by the Hispanic National Bar Association.
